Students will develop their abilities in fundamental engineering subjects such as Advanced Solid Mechanics and Advanced Thermodynamics, as well as a variety of elective courses such as Resource Efficient Design, Robotics, and Digital Manufacturing. DMU academics and technologists will assist students with their unique project, a large piece of work centred on their own research interests. Students will also study the environmental effect of human activities and energy consumption, as well as the responsibility of the mechanical engineer in addressing society's pressing demands. The course develops transferrable skills by providing students with an awareness of the engineering business environment and increasing their understanding of other engineering disciplines.
