Course Description

The Mechanical Engineering Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma program is a specialized educational program that focuses on preparing students for careers as mechanical engineering technologists. Mechanical engineering technologists apply scientific and engineering principles to solve mechanical engineering problems in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, construction, and transportation. They may work on projects related to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment, and may use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to create and analyze designs. The Mechanical Engineering Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma program likely includes a mix of theoretical and practical coursework, including classroom lectures, lab sessions, and hands-on projects. Through this program, students learn how to apply scientific and engineering principles to solve mechanical engineering problems and acquire the skills specific to mechanical engineering technologists.

Students also have the option to gain real-world experience through a paid co-operative education (co-op) work term
