Course Description

Coventry University has been training construction professionals for over 50 years and is ranked No. 1 in the UK for Building and Town and Country Planning in the Guardian University Guide 2021. This course will teach students to the core themes of resource management, economics, design, and manufacturing processes, which are required for practitioners in all construction professions. Students will be taught alongside students studying architectural technology, building surveying, quantity surveying, and commercial management, allowing you to develop an understanding of the professional duties of a construction manager working in a multi-disciplinary team setting to mimic industry practises. Construction technology, building science and structures, the legal and regulatory framework of a building, engineering surveys and construction processes, construction management, contractual procedures, and construction financing are among the key issues covered.
