Our MSc Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellbeing gives you the knowledge and skills to deliver better results for children. We’ve designed the course around key legislation, policy, guidelines and practice.
You’ll learn to develop and challenge current thinking and reflect on how to deliver best practice. We’ll help you develop your leadership skills as you learn to bring about effective transformation.
Develop a dual approach as a result of your evidence-based reading and research. Early help as a preventative measure and the importance of protecting and promoting lifelong mental health and wellbeing.
This Masters is ideal if you work, or want to work, in children and young people’s mental health. You’ll develop broad applied research skills relevant to today’s education, community, health and social care sectors.

Must have a bachelor degree.
You should have a degree equivalent to UK first-class or second-class honours (2:2 or above) in a relevant subject such as child and adolescent mental health, child health and wellbeing, health and social care, psychology, sociology or education.
English Requirements:
IELTS Academic (UKVI Approved Test) - Overall 6.5 with no element below 6.0
IELTS Academic (Standard Test) OR IELTS Indicator - Overall 6.5 with no element below 6.0
(TOEFL) internet-based (iBT) OR iBT Special Home Edition - Overall score of 90 or above with minimum elements of listening 23, reading 23, speaking 22 and writing 26
Cambridge C2 Proficiency (formerly known as the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English – CPE) - Overall score of 176 or above with at least 169 in each element
Cambridge C1 Advanced Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - Overall score of 176 or above with at least 169 in each element
Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) (UKVI Approved Test) - Scores of 61 with no element less than 59
Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE) (UKVI Approved) Please note ISE tests are only accepted if the test taker is in the UK - ISE Level II with Distinction in each element or ISE Level III with Pass in each element
Euroexam Academic - Overall score of 60% with no sub-skill below 40% (Level C1 Pass)
LanguageCert International ESOL SELT - B2 Communicator SELT with a minimum score of 38/50 in each element
Oxford Test of English (OTE) - OTE score 130 overall with at least 111 in each component
PSI Skills for English (4- skill tests only – UKVI approved) - B2 Pass with Merit – Overall
