A Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Archaeology and Anthropology is an undergraduate degree program that combines the study of human culture and history through the excavation, analysis, and interpretation of material remains and the study of human cultures, societies, and biology. The program typically covers a wide range of topics such as archaeological method and theory, ancient cultures, human evolution, cultural anthropology, social anthropology, linguistic anthropology, and conservation and heritage management. Students in this program will learn how to excavate, analyze, and interpret artifacts, structures, and landscapes, and how to use these to reconstruct past societies and their interactions with the environment and will also learn about different cultures and societies, both past and present and how they are shaped by history and biology. Graduates of this program may go on to work in fields such as archaeological research and excavation, cultural resource management, heritage management, or museums and may also pursue graduate studies in archaeology, anthropology or related fields such as history, or museum studies.
