Course Description

The Master of Agriculture for Sustainable Development programme is designed for graduates and professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and expertise in sustainable agricultural development. Students will gain a solid understanding of crop production fundamentals such as climate and other environmental changes. Students then investigate how this knowledge can be used to design effective food production systems that do not place unsustainable demands on the environment. Although the emphasis is on agriculture in tropical or developing countries, the approaches can be applied globally. Natural, social, and economic sciences are all covered in the course. It leverages our unrivalled expertise in a variety of fields, including crop production, pest and disease management, postharvest technologies, climate change adaptation, and agricultural economics and marketing.

Graduation : No specific cutoff mentioned Applicants should have an honours degree (at least 2.2 or above) in a relevant discipline (e.g. agricultural sciences, plant or crop science, biology, agricultural economy) Or an equivalent professional qualification in an appropriate subject Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year (However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 50% in final year is required) Applicants from other backgrounds may be considered.
