The Medical Radiation Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma program is a comprehensive educational program that prepares students for careers as medical radiation technologists. Medical radiation technologists are trained to produce diagnostic images and carry out diagnostic procedures using a variety of imaging technologies, such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to analyze complex diagnostic images and assist with the diagnosis and management of multiple system disorders. The Medical Radiation Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma program is accredited by the Accreditation Canada Accreditation Canada EQUAL™ and covers the knowledge and technical skills outlined in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists Radiological Technology competency profile. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification exam and apply for licensure in their province or territory.
