The Master of Public Health is a one-year degree program that graduates with a recognized postgraduate qualification. The program provides a thorough training in the scientific knowledge, principles and predictive power of health science as well as skills necessary to plan, implement and evaluate policy change aimed at reducing the burden of disease:The degree course aims to produce a student skilled in management of public health, the ability to analyse social issues and make decisions on their basis. The programme provides a broad knowledge base which includes laws, regulations, standards and procedural guidance relevant to management of public health.The Bachelor of Laws is a three-year course. It prepares students to go on to graduate studies in legal practice and/or academic programmes, specifically the Master of Public Health (M.P.H). To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed 12 grade 12 subjects including: mathematics; English; two (2) secondary school subjects from the common curriculum including Mathematics and English; a Level 1 anatomy and physiology or biochemistry qualification; a Level 2 biology or chemistry qualification; and science level 1 one of biology or chemistry with acceptable grades.
