BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science studies physiology (including nutrition), biomechanics, and psychology. The fourth pillar is strength and conditioning, which combines the three other subject disciplines and considers how we apply our knowledge to improve the strength and conditioning of people ranging from clinical patient groups to elite athletes. The National Strength and Conditioning Association has accredited this degree (NSCA). Accreditation, in the words of the NCSA's Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education, "means your programme adheres to the highest standards of excellence."
