The Master of Engineering in Computer Science (Honours) program provides students with a comprehensive education in the field, with a broad and principled approach to computer science that gives students a thorough grounding in theory as well as practical skills. The course covers a range of systems at different levels of abstraction, including digital hardware architectures, low-level programming, operating systems, intelligent systems, compilers, and high-level languages. Students will learn to design user-centered systems, recognize the power of data, and build intelligent systems that learn from data. The course also allows students to study topics of their interest in more advanced level, benefiting from access to research in the department. The program is designed in collaboration with an Industrial Advisory Board to ensure that students are well-prepared for the workplace upon graduation.
