The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) is a three-year engineering degree, offered in New Zealand as a study pathway into engineering, construction and related manufacturing industries. BEngTech students undergo a practice-based skills formation process, and the programme teaches students to understand and apply engineering science knowledge. Students will also develop the capability to analyse and implement solutions to real-life, practical situations. BEngTech graduates meet an industry need for people who can actively apply engineering knowledge in industry, and integrate that knowledge into high level practical situations. Students achieving this qualification may also move into a higher level of study. The Learning Outcomes of this programme are benchmarked against the Graduate Profile and Graduate Attributes of the exemplar Sydney Accord provisions of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA). This programme is 3 years full-time or part-time equivalent and fees for domestic students are $7,120 and for international students is $21,000.
