The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is a provincial university with roots in two founding institutions, Prince of Wales College and Saint Dunstan's University. Founded in 1969, it celebrates its rich history with academic excellence and research innovation. UPEI offers a wide range of programs and degrees to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. Its students have access to exceptional faculty, researchers and staff, and the University has an impressive number of Canada Research Chairs, UNESCO Chairs, endowed and sponsored research chairs, and 3M National Teaching Fellows.
