Large-scale, complicated software infrastructures are developed and maintained by software engineers. The curriculum blends theoretical computer science with the ideas and techniques employed in today's software business, giving students practical experience. In 2017, the School of Computing Science established the groundbreaking Centre for Computing Science Education in acknowledgement of KSL's dedication to educational leadership and innovation. The Glasgow Student Tech Society hosts hackathons and other coding activities on a regular basis, bringing together students, faculty, and industry software developers. The British Computer Society (BCS), The Chartered Institute for IT, recognises graduates as meeting the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP). The School of Computing Science has been ranked first for overall student satisfaction in four of the last nine years in the National Student Survey. Courses are designed and taught by researchers who are leaders in their fields.
