This course allows students to learn two main topics: programming and artificial intelligence (AI). Students also study project management and research methodologies in order to give the intellectual rigour needed for postgraduate studies as well as the practical skills needed for admission into the sector. The institution has a track record of successful computer science research, consulting, and enterprise initiatives, providing our faculty with relevant real-world case studies to draw on in their teaching. Many academic staff members have worked in the industry and have developed good working connections with industry counterparts. The programming strand provides students with knowledge and abilities in event-driven programming, patterns, design, development, and deployment using industry-standard tools. The AI research strand looks at computer models, simulations, and approaches for observing and predicting behaviour in large-scale systems. The project management module complements the practical and theoretical skills with methodologies for project strategic management, preparing students for the whole project life cycle.
