University of Tasmania

The University of Tasmania (UTAS) is an Australian public research institution that was founded in 1890 on the island of Tasmania. It is the country's fourth oldest university. The University of Tasmania is a sandstone university with a 130-year history that belongs to the International Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of areas and collaborates with 20 specialised research institutes and co-operative research centres. UTAS is one of the state's largest employers, and it aspires to be a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace.

The university includes three main campuses in Hobart, Launceston, and Burnie, as well as numerous tiny, specialised facilities within the College of Health and Medicine at its Sydney sites in Darlinghurst and Rozelle. It also has a cooperative research facility at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Pyrmont, which is located in the city. The University of Tasmania is likewise dedicated to cultivating an inclusive culture that appreciates diversity, promotes equality, and maintains a working, learning, and social environment that respects the rights and dignity of all of its employees and students.
