Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private tertiary educational institution in Melbourne and Sydney that primarily serves international students. It has an English Language Centre that is NEAS-accredited and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business, accounting, management, marketing, information technology, computer networking, and telecommunications engineering. Melbourne Institute of Technology, founded in 1996 by Nepali-Australian businessman Shesh Ghale and his wife Jamuna Gurung, initially offered diploma-level courses in business, information technology, and English from its Melbourne campus. In 2003, MIT opened a Sydney campus in collaboration with the University of New England, offering UNE courses. A new Melbourne campus opened in the historic Argus Building in October 2016.
